I am so tickled to see Martha making the choices of paint and plans for the home. Mary, thanks for your kindred spirit in helping her, I don't think my male responses were what she was looking for. The purpose of this letter is to thank you for your patience and endurance during the purchase of our new home. This was certainly one of the more challenging transactions we've undertaken, and there were several occasions on which Peggy and I were ready to retreat, regroup, and try again with another property. That the transaction was eventually consummated is a testament to your tenacity and creativity. We are still amazed that so many bizarre things could have occurred in the course of what should have been one fairly routine purchase and that you remained positive (sane) throughout the process. We appreciate your efforts on our behalf and hope that you never experience anything like this again. We hope the same for ourselves! It was worth it, though.
